NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

MR OLA SANNI.

Mr. Ola Sanni is a graduate of Accounting and a Chartered Accountant by profession. He also holds an MBA degree with specialization in Finance from then Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University). He acquired his professional training in Deloitte Touche Williams (Chartered Accountants) between 1987 and August 1990 and he became a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2002, and he is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. 

He worked with UBA Trustees Limited as the Manager in charge of Accounts and Investments between September 1990 and September 1992 during which period he served as Secretary to the Company’s Investment Committee. In this capacity, he was responsible for appraisal of investments in money market instruments of both banks and corporate organizations, analysis of stocks and bonds; ensuring compliance with the Investments Act and preparation of accounts for use by the Company’s management, incorporating performance evaluation, capital analysis as well as the preparation of the company’s final accounts. 



In October 1992, he joined Great Africa Trust Limited group, one of the first licensed Finance Companies in Nigeria as AGM (Finance & Investments) of the group, managing the company’s investment portfolios and overseeing finance and accounts functions. He later acted as the General Manager of the group with responsibilities for business development, administration and provision of key management information (both financial and non-financial) for decision making. 

Amongst businesses developed was a downstream oil and gas services company, Petrochem International Limited, an oil marketing and logistics company in partnership with Shell Nigeria Oil Products (SNOP), a Shell Nigeria trading company with a clear mandate to partner with Petrochem for Shell group’s downstream business. While holding the Group General Manager position, he was to serve as the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Petrochem for three years and was involved in the preparation of policy documents to actualize the objectives of the company and he was part of the team that led the formation of an upstream oil and gas service company, Geoplex (W.A) Limited in 2002. He left Great Africa Trust Limited Group in September 2003. 

He is a pioneer Shareholder and has been the Finance Director of both Geoplex (W.A) Limited and Geoplex Drillteq Limited since inception in October 2003. He remains on the Board of Directors of Geoplex Drillteq Limited.
